Who invented the seed drill? What is a seed drill? Jethro Tull invented the Seed Drill in 1701. The Seed Drill is a sowing device that precisely positions seeds in the soil and then covers them.
What generalization can you make about inventions displayed on the time line? Many inventions created between 1701 and 1871 were made to advance the Industrial Revolution.
What did inventor Richard Trevithick create in 1802 & why was it so significant? In 1802, Richard Trevithick created the first steam locomotive, it was a significant invention because the locomotive ran on coal.
What else occurred the same year as The Communist Manifesto was published? In 1848, The Communist Manifesto was published. During the same year, revolutions occured throughout Europe.

I See
It Means
- 17 Iron Ores spread out throughout Great Britian - Around 12 large coal fields - Many major canals located throughout the country - Iron Ores and Coal fields located away from London, Great Britians Capital
-The British knew that steel was going to be an important part of the Industrail Revolution, many products would be made using steel such as factory parts. There would be a lot of locomotives to help transport the products throughout the country and to fuel the steam locomotives, they would need a lot of coal. The coal fields would be very useful later on. The canals would be useful for transporting goods throughout Great Britian. The British probably wanted to keep all the smoke and residue from the Iron Ores and the Coal mines away from their major capital. That's why there is a significant decrease in iron ores and coal mines around London's location.
I can infer that Great Britian is evolving to keep with the fast paced Industrial Revolution. Steel was a significant part of the Industrail Revolution, it was needed and used to produce factories and products. Great Britian had a numerous amount of Iron Ores. It also had many coal fields which came in handy to fuel all the steam locomotives. Great Britian also had some major canals that could be used to their advantage when it came to transporting the goods around the country. Since Britian was surrounded by the Irish Sea as well as the English Channel, there was a huge advantage when importing or exporting goods.
1.More wealth means more power politically as well as socially.
2.Now, Industries depend on fussil fuels such as oil.
3.The value of labor, land, and money has decreased.
4.Countries provide supplied to the Industries in other countries.
5.China and India obtain a massive number of skilled workers.
6.Asia and the Middle East fund many factories in the West.
7.Capital resources have shifted.
Comparison: Resources that were vital for the Industrial Revolution are not as necesary now. Coal for instance has been replaced with fossil fuels. The value of land, labor, and money has decreased dramatically. Also, other countries contribute in providing supplies, resources, and skills to foreign countries. Prediction: Almost all jobs will be given to people that are willing to work for less. Usually those workers are located in different developing countries which means jobs will be scarce in developed/Industrialized nations. Eventually, all countries will be able to contribute and benefit from the Industries. The factors of production will probably continue to lean more and more on technology and try to replace workers. This would eventually save a great amount of money for the company since they would only need to pay for the machines one time rather than paying it constantly like it's a worker.
The location of the factors of production has changed in current times. In present day, the location of a specific company is based on the resources it needs that are availible at that location. For example, a company that packages and distributes rice would be located around a wheat farm to decrease the distance between the factory and it's main resources. This saves time and money which benefits the company.

Since the nation increased in case, it needed to spend the money.
Parlament favored businesses so laws were created to help advance businesses in the nation.
improved livestock breeding methods to raise healthier animals
Rivers and streams were used to turn waterwheels to generate power. Also provided transportation.
Because of the Cloursure Movement, thousands of people lost their farmland.
Businesses resulted in more people working.
Great Britian was an early leader in the Indutrial Revolution because it contained desirable land to farm and water ways to trasport products and merchandise. After many years of fighting long and hard wars, Great Britian was finally in a stable condition. The citizens were willing to work and contribute to the Industrial Revolution. Great Britians location also contributed to it's success during the Industrial Revolution since it was sourrounded by waterways. The country had the natural resources to thrive. It had many Iron ores, coal fields, as well as major canals. The coal was used to power the machines were important to the functioning of industries.

Industrialized Europe 1900 What benefits did industrialization bring to some nations? Industrialization brought many benefits to some nations. For example, coal mines helped make the Ruhr ares of Germany one of the worlds largest Industrial regions which resulted in much profit. Also, although some countries might not have followed the Industrialization trend as fast as others, they still were able to benefit from the revolution. It brought them weath as well as power. Sweden for instance had major iron deposits. Their natural resources were used by the factories of other Industrialized countries. Which do you think were greater, the costs or the benefits of industrialization? The benefits of Industrialization were far greater than the costs because while the costs were quite heavy, the benefits were long term. Long term benefits included a higher standard of living. How could Industrialization lead to Imperialism? Industrialization could lead to imperialism (when a nation takes over another nation by territorial acquisition or by establishing an economic and political leadership in the nation) because the powerful Industrialized countires would need to conquer more land to obtain the resources the needed to advance. CCQP'S -After watching the video I've realized that the steam engine had a major effect on the Industrial Revolution.
-I really didn't think cars existed at that time.
-As a result of the steam

-There must have been alot
of pollution during the Industrial revolution because of the poularity of the steam engines and factories and iron ores.
-I didn't expect
industrialization
to lead to tenements because wouldn't people have more money to spend since they had jobs and demand for the
goods.
-As a result of the workers laying down the train tracks one by one, the people today are able to live so comfortably.
Reform in Great Britain! The Reform Act of 1832 was a politcal reform that gave cities representation in Parliaments and middle-class men the right to vote. This reform was made because the workers didn't have anyone in the government to represent them. The reform act of 1832 was made also because workers believed rules and laws were unjust. The Factory Act of 1833 limited the working hours of children in textile mills and made it maditory that young workers age 9-13 recieved 2 hrs of schooling a day. This act was enforced when Parliament member, Michael Sadler, reported to the Parliament of children being forced to work long hours with very little wages. These contributions/Acts could lead to imperialism of Africa and Asia because Great Britian might try and succeed in reforming those counties, and in the process, grow fond of them, which could end up with Great Britian in control of those nations.

Summary: I think that the most important inventions from these three catagories were radios, anesthetics, and skyscrapers. The radio had a huge impact on the people of the 1800's because they could be sitting anywhere in the world but the news would be able to reach them. It connected the people. Anesthetics were very important, and still are, because it has changed the medicinal world. Humans actually found way to cut someone open without causing them too much pain. This not only benefits the patient, but the doctor as well because they don't have to work on someone who is in severe pain. Skyscarpers had huge impacts on the people of the 1800's because since everyone was moving to the urban areas with all the factories and the fast paced life, living and working areas were scrce. From the invention of skyscrapers, this problem was solved.
